NOBLE YARNS®
GROUP
From land to luxury, stewards of noble fibres
NOBLE FOR A REASON
Noble (adjective)
Having high moral qualities or ideals; honourable, principled, ethically grounded
Of superior quality or character; refined, excellent, distinguished
Associated with dignity and elevation; not of status alone, but of bearing and conduct
Historically and scientifically, designating materials valued for rarity, stability, and integrity
Today, the global luxury fashion and textile industries are fractured.
Sustainable credentials are compromised.
Supply chains remain opaque.
This must change.
We restore the meaning of noble to luxury, where materials are valued not only for their performance and rarity, but for the integrity of the systems that sustain them.
WHY WE EXIST
Noble Yarns® Group exists to address a systemic gap in global luxury fashion and textiles: the absence of sovereignty-led luxury supply-chains.
We develop infrastructure – not standards – ensuring rare fibres can enter global luxury markets without loss of cultural integrity, ecological balance or community agency.
At the origin of all noble fibres are indigenous communities and living cultural heritages, interconnected with fragile ecosystems.
We exist to steward these living commons and help shift luxury from extraction toward enduring, community-led value.
WHO WE ARE
Noble Yarns® Group is a mission- and IP-led enterprise and the legal steward of the Noble Yarns® designation.
We are a regenerative systems platform created to build commercially viable manufacturing partnerships, market pathways and cross-border collaborations rooted in ecological integrity and producer sovereignty.
We govern the conditions under which the Noble Yarns® mark may be applied – safeguarding rare noble fibres, the ecosystems from which they originate, and the pastoral and indigenous communities whose living knowledge sustains them.
Our role is not to regulate fibres themselves, but to define and steward the integrity framework required for their responsible market integration.
Existing luxury business models, certification standards and supply-chain systems currently fail to adequately reflect or protect the deeply interconnected mountain ecologies, cultural systems, human and non-human relationships embedded in natural materials and noble fibres.
Our mandate is to champion and advance sovereignty-led, community-rooted value chains that align material excellence with ecological integrity, cultural continuity and equitable value creation.
Our work is centered on long-term, place-based partnerships across pastoral and nomadic landscapes, where the preservation of nature, cultural heritage and way of life are inseparable. Through this stewardship, we uphold transparency, fairness, and regenerative agricultural practices – shifting luxury from extractive value chains toward enduring, living value.
WHAT WE DO
We bring together pastoralists, local governments, artisanal makers, and heritage manufacturers to create sovereign, transparent pathways from raw materials to products of excellence for brands and the discerning consumer market.
Our work is centred on natural materials and noble fibres, and on the protection of cultural heritage and craft as a living system of value creation. This approach recognises that material quality, cultural knowledge, and place are inseparable sources of value.
Where infrastructure support is required, we enable market access and build responsible, vertically integrated luxury supply chains across fashion, textiles, and lifestyle products.
This work is advanced through Noble Yarns® Innovation, the Group’s in-house function for knowledge exchange, research and development, manufacturing technologies, systems innovation and responsible market integration.
These innovations are applied through aligned initiatives. House of Tengri and Source Mountain operate as independent expressions of this work, under the stewardship and governance of Noble Yarns® Group.
